The Headlight Freight bidding platform allows you to quickly create job postings for your common carriers to bid on, collect and review offers, and then easily select your preferred bidder.

Dashboard Overview

The Headlight Freight Dashboard Overview gives you a quick view of your total savings, how many bids come in over time, your total bookings, and your job history.

Being able to easily see the average time it takes for your bids to come in, helps you to know how long to leave your bids open.

Dashboard Analytics

Selecting the Dashboard Analytics will provide insight into your maximum savings, savings on winning bid changes, average number of bids, and many others. The savings on winning bid changes are significant as they show how much the winning bidder reduced their own price throughout the bidding process.

Below the general analytics are the closed job analytics that provide a more detailed history of closed jobs. You can sort by # of bids, highest bid, lowest bid, and winner. The highlighted row in red indicates the winning bidder that was selected was not the lowest cost bidder, and was more than 5% above the lowest bid.

Lastly, the bidder analytics at the bottom of this tab are available to help you understand which of your common carriers are engaging with your posted bids. The bid history will show how responsive the bidders are based on job invites, jobs not viewed, jobs not bid on, jobs they did bid on, and jobs won.

The red highlighted rows indicate the bidder has not viewed any of their jobs. The yellow rows show the bidder has viewed less than 50% of their jobs. With the white rows showing that the bidder has either read the email containing the job info or viewed the job on the Headlight Freight website.

Ratings

After a common carrier completes a job, you can use the dashboard rating tab to display historical ratings and view or edit any pending ratings.

New Job

Create new job postings for common carriers to bid on, collect and review those offers, and then easily select your preferred bidder.

When using the post job button in the Planned Loads section, the description of the load and route are automatically included in the new job section of Headlight Freight.

Company Settings

The company settings section allows you to update your own company info, employees, origin addresses, email groups, and truck distributors.

The default special handling instructions is what bidders will see in the job description. Use this section to specify what terms bidders must agree to, and any additional details they need to know regarding the posted job.
